My therapist hugs me after every session, and once in the middle of a really difficult session, I was just sitting there in my chair and she said something like, "you don't deserve to be sitting there all alone feeling so much pain" and she asked if she could hug me. I had just told her a lot of stuff I'd never told anyone before, and I was so scared she was going to reject me and tell me she couldn't see me anymore, and instead she offered me a hug. I didn't have to think twice about how to respond. I wanted that hug so much.

T says he bodysurfs…and oh, I am sorry I asked if he board surfs because I don't want that mental image of waves and speedo. He's already attractive. Man, Get out of my head!!!

You re-read their emails over and over and over again. Even emails from several months ago. You also find yourself smiling to yourself while doing so.

I don't get very many emails from my T, and I accidentally deleted one that was so sweet and kind. I was so mad at myself, but luckily I still remember what she said. I've found pictures of my T on the internet, and I look at them a lot. There is also a video of her talking at at workshop on youtube, and sometimes I watch it just to hear the sound of her voice.

T asks for eye contact... just to show support and connection... and that she's "right here " and I immediately blush. Then at the end of session I'm skip the implicit offer for a hug because at some point I broke out in a sweat... on my belly...

The funniest thing happened today. My T was running late so he called me to tell me he was on his way. I didn't think anything of it. When my T arrived he said let's listen to the message...I'm like ok. I still didn't hear anything but at the end of the message he says 'love you'. He pointed out that he had been talking to his sibling and always ends his conversation that way. He says he cares a lot about me like a therapist does. He apologized for the mistake. I told him not to worry. I'm ok. Now that my session is over and I listened to the message again, it makes smile and tingle all over!! So cute, awww!!! Walking on cloud 9. 😊

you're on a city trip and in that city is a chain of cafés/boulangeries and that name of those is the same as his first name, so everytime you see one of those cafés you think of him.
And you also wish you could be here with him. |

When you're kind of turned on when he's talking about his "sexual deficiencies" (no specifics, just that guys are expected to know exactly what to do and be good at certain things and he...isn't) in order to make me and my husband more comfortable talking about sexual topics. And when you start giggling uncontrollably when he says something about how issues with sex can "come up."

you know he has a match this weekend and the day after you go looking at the results and he won both matches and that makes you smile. (and also a bit jealous because one match he played with a woman)

When you're wondering if her tired, slouching, posture... when in her legs go a bit spread eagle... is a subconscious gesture or outright intentional distraction.
Her: Relaxing, perhaps tired, lying back in her chair. legs slacking apart. Me: 'Oh, my look at .. my hands , my hands, my index fingernail is a bit long.. the carpet ... the — oh... shoes, I'm wearing shows, look at that. What was I talking about?' Good Lord woman, I appreciate that your relaxed but do your really not have any idea what you're doing to me here? I don't need that vision fueling my fantasies! p.s. I'm lying, don't stop relaxing. |
