Does anyone else find that a side effect of erotic transference is terrible insomnia? It's like I just can't get him out of my head for long enough to sleep. It's always worst the night after I see him.
To be fair I've always struggled with insomnia, but before I met him it had started to improve a lot. Now I'm back at square one. Always awake at 4am, thinking of him. |

There have been some times when I haven't gotten the warm fuzziness and felt sad. What's weird though is there have also been times I've been upset with him about something from session, yet still felt the warm, fuzziness. |

Thank you Susan - it's good to know that you understand! Sorry you're experiencing it too, though.
Thanks for sharing your experience too, LT. That actually sounds lovely! |

I used to think about him before I went to sleep at night to lull myself into dreamyland. It was VERY hard to break the habit.

The transference leads to renumeration, and renumeration leads to insomnia, so yes.
It's related to intense feelings stirred up from the past, and I think a good deal of it is preverbal in my case. Wanting the feelings of connection and affection while feeling cold, hungry, alone, and neglected comes to mind. I also experienced feeling energized, and warm fuzzy feelings like LT mentioned. |
