i assumed it was but have seen a couple people wonder whether or not we are ok to do that. sometimes i think a particular book might be helpful for someone but if it's not ok to post a link (e.g. to amazon) will you let us know? thanks!

The rulemakers here will answer you more surely, but I'm positive it's okay. I've done so, if I'm not mistaken. I just make sure to link straight to Amazon, and not use an associate-ID link (in other words, a link that includes a person's associate ID, so that they make money if the person linking buys).

Hi reflection,

As long as it's not going to a website that violates the rules of PsychCentral, and providing you clearly identify what the link is going to - then go right ahead. The Community Guidelines prohibit you from advertising your own resource, book or website, and don't allow advertisements - but providing that you're linking to information on a book, I don't see how it could be an issue. (Otherwise, you can provide the book title and author, and people can search for it themselves!)

When in doubt, you can always PM a moderator or administrator to review your post to make sure it's okay.
