I have to attend and give deposition tomorrow (Monday) for the insurance company that pays my disability costs. It doesn't happen very often (every 7 years maybe? IDK) but it's always tough.

(I preferred giving depo's for other people...not myself..you know how that goes.)

Please pray that I will say only what needs to be said, and that time will pass quickly for me. (Oh, and that I find the place and have coins for parking this time! )

Thanks all. Actually, they called just before 10 am and cancelled...again. Seems when I mow the yard (riding mower) for 10 minutes the day before, they cancel the depo. LOL anyway, that has happened twice now, and didn't when I didn't mow (but failed to have parking coin.) So I guess the PI calls and says, HEY I got new video! and so they postpone so they can view it and see if I'd done something they can cancel the claim for (or threaten to.) DOH such harassment!

The stress they cause is unbelievable. Truly. I have so many cognitive skills to keep me pretty much level, but the body seems to skip the cognitive aspect and reacts anyway. It's called: on disability for stress. I guess I've kidded myself for a little while about having things under control IF... yet maybe it truly has me under control WHEN?

I am sure you are glad they canceled your depo. I am currently out on workers comp after and assault that led to cancer in my hand from chronic infection. Four surgeries later and now have depression and PTSD and am fighting to have them added to my case. I had to give my deposition last Monday it is was nerve wracking. It amazes me the levels they will go through to try to prove or disprove your abilities. I know I have been followed by PIs, and often wonder about the videos or photos they have of me. Do you find yourself being paranoid about that? I only had to do this once I hope, the depo that is, and can not imagine having to go through that every 7 years or so. Are you glad they posponed it? I think it would only ad to the anxiety just knowing that I would still have to do it even though it is not at this time.

I found it funny that you refered to the fact that you were cutting your lawn and they postponed it even though your issue is stress. A lot of people find cutting the lawn relaxing.

It is funny I do know of one woman I have never seen and I find her popping up in various places that I am, as well as her being on the road and seeing her. One of these days I think I will just have to say something to her, I might even find that liberating.

Anyway I know the stress of giving a deposition and wish you luck with it since you know they will still be doing it just not now. Next time you cut your lawn watch out for the possible PI and go tell him or her off. I am thinking personally once they know you have their game down maybe they will back off.

When you have your Depo give them hell, show them your stress!!!! Good luck!

HI Tmac. No, really I would rather get it over with...it doesn't change anything for me (I get nothing from a depo.) But it does add stress.

I have been permanent total for over 22 years. They continue to follow me, tap my phone, go through my mail (that is delivered at front of home, I use a POB for real mail.)

One thing I learned is to carry a camera and make SURE they see you taking pictures of THEM! It really shakes them up and often makes them leave off for the day, as they know you won't "DO" anything to be caught on camera.

I do also have chronic myofascial pain... well documented by their own doctors. They just keep hoping? I have good advice (NOT from my attorney) that economy is rough for lawyers too, and the more litigation issues and videos and depos and mediations they can schedule, the more they are paid.

that this is rescheduled at a good time. However, entering hurricane season I wonder if there IS a good time? I was injured during a thunderstorm and really don't do well during them.

Yes, TMac I used to have the best yard around... wherever I lived (by myself) and I loved gardening etc. My dad has his own plant nursery and I enjoyed being there too. So to at least MOW ...and drive that riding mower...IS comforting and releases a bunch of stress over how my yard looks etc. Oh well. They are probably reading this too, since they can tap into my phoneline wirelessly (microwave is what the phone company said) and if they put a computer online with me...they are reading everything.

You're not paranoid if they really are following you.
I pray that if push comes to shove I get out of a situation rather than through it...but I've told attorneys that since I don't know who is stalking me (them or bad guy) I'll shoot first and ask questions later.

I do know what you mean honestly. I am getting jerked around totally. Today I was told they will not pay for my Anti Dep Lexapro and was warned about withdraw. I am not looking forward to the next few days according to my T I can get real sick. I honestly would love the opportunity to catch someone ATM following me so I could confront them. The opportunity to ask did you follow me to my brother funeral, were you at the hospital when he died? The insensativity of someone after the holy dollar is a joke. The economy does not help you are right. Anyone will do anything for a buck. My deposition is behind me but I do not look forward to the abuse of the system by others that willl effect me negativly live having to go through withdraw from meds b\c they6 have the legal ability to stick it to me, while making me worse. I wish you well with your depo whenever it happens it can certinatly be nerve wracking, I know mine was.
