I used to meditate a while back but stopped as I would lose control of the thoughts in my head... now I want to start meditating again but when I am sitting in silence, I start to think negative things, does anyone have any tips that might help me silence these thoughts?
Thanks for this!

I don’t know if this will help but I sort of imagine an opening below me that empties me of all “stuff” so I’m sort of left in a space of knowing nothing…the no-thing. I have found this is a space in which I can take a breath and in that breathing I simply am and for a time there is peace.

I truly hope you find that space of peace. Be well.
Thanks for this!

When we started to meditate one of the thing our teacher taught us was to see our thought on a black bourd. to own it then to blow it up. we chose to make it look like fire works full of pritty colors. we did this each time thought intruded. as time goes on the amount of time between interruption will lengthen. we also chose instomental music and focused on that I will try t remember more techniques good luck
