Hello all. I've never done this before but I desperately need it and I honestly feel like the only thing that can knit my family back together now is God's love.

I came out to my parents as bisexual on March 1st. This was a very poor choice on my part and I see that now, because they were not at all ready for it and have taken it very hard. There have been so many hurtful words exchanged between us, from both sides of the divide, and it seems to be growing deeper and deeper as the days pass. I ask you, if you have a little time, to send a prayer up for my family so that somehow, some way, we can all be together again, love and respect one another as we once did. There are many wounds that need healing in this house and that healing truly is in God's hands.

I am aware that many people believe that non-heterosexuals are sinful and are the generators of their own misfortune because of how they "choose" to live. (((muse))) Even if your folks consider it sin, like what sin do they have in their lives that they can judge you? I'm sorry your disclosure has opened this wound ... I always advise against disclosure. Some think it's because of my own faith and beliefs, but it's always because of situations like this. (I know keeping a secret ... or however such is held within ... seems too hard ... but now what?) I hope they come around to realize that if they love you, they love you for being!
