I watched that movie tonight...needless to say I cried alot. I find myself wondering is it that easy to truly communicate your heart to God and does He want to hear it? Please pray for me as I search for those answers.

I got to see it in the movies and it was so touching. It seemed to be encouraging many people who are even now sending letters to God. I have met some.
It is a step of faith..that God would care about what you think and what you need but it seems that He does.

Yes, I can say from personal experience, I HAVE found him there. Others have been allowed to say that they will "pray," so I will do the same!

Silentwhisper, I have very recently had my own spiritual awakening or "epiphany" of sorts. I have never really doubted there was a God or that He loved & cared about me very much; what I did have trouble with, however, is putting ALL my faith in God rather than dividing it among certain people in my life who continually disappoint me & whether directly or indirectly they somehow manage to let me down, hurt my feelings, break my heart, ect. The last week or so has been the most enlightening time I've experienced. I hope & pray that everyone has the opportunity to feel what I'm feeling, because it is a place of peace & serenity that makes me appreciate life and motivates me to be a better person, to always be thankful for so many blessings, & to not take even the smallest things for granted. I write in a journal; writing & music are my outlets. And although I'd never done it before, I have now started writing my journals as if I were actually writing to God, sometimes as if I'm talking to a friend & sometimes it will come across in a prayer-like manner. Either way, it is freeing, relaxing, calming, & inspiring. I say give it a try...meditate & pray for guidance. Personal experience tells me that yes, God is definitely there; yes, He does want to hear what you have to say & is listening always; and there's absolutely no doubt in my mind that God loves you! I hope this helps!
