My best friends niece drowned in the bath tonight (The girls dad steped out to grab something for her bath). right now she is in the hospital sedated. They have her vitals stable, and she's breathing. But there is no brain activity. She's 1yr.
She really needs prayiers.

Thanks!

Thank you everyone

Today, she's doing a little better. She is breathing on her own. And her eyes are dialating (Which is a good sign that brain activity is there). The results from the brain scan isn't back yet this morning. But I'll keep everyone posted.

This picture was taken back in June when she came over for a weeklong visit. .

Praying for the little one. My friend's grandson drowned in their pool and was revived by his father. They still took him to the hospital and observed him for a few hours. This happened last year. You would never know today that he was dead. He is a happy 4 1/2 yr old now. Jesus loves the little children no matter what. I hope that your friend's niece recovers with no problems.

Here's an update, this was typed up by my best friend: "
"well, they say for sure she has brain damage, but they wont be able to tell how bad it is until the swelling goes down in her brain"

I'll keep you all posted when we find out more. But she's recovering!

It's been too long since I last posted the above, so it wont let me edit it. So i'm sorry for the double post here...
but... :,(
But this is from my best friend: "well, things arent going well. apparently the area of her brain controling her main functions may be damaged, and she might not make it at all. My information isnt that great, i couldnt understand my brother that well on the phone... but... its not looking good. i really dont know what's going on, i think they said they'll know more tomorrow"

Please keep praying

im hoping things are better - and sending prayers to the universe for her to pull through - you know the brain is a wonderful thing - it can learn to use other parts if one part is damamged especially if the person is young - hoping that this is the case for this little girl

sending loving thoughts to her family and to all who care about her

leaving you a guardian angel to watch over her Little baby girl needs prayiers!

please let us know how she is doing

This reminds me of what happened with our daughter. She had a convulsion when she was about 14 months old and developed epilepsy.
When she was an adult and the seizures were worsening, She was a perfect candidate for brain surgery to remove the affected area as her brain simply re-routed the functions normally found in that area.
Although she has to take anticonvulsants the seizures are pretty much gone.
So we experienced how the brain can adjust. Being so young it might just happen.
Still praying..poor little girl.
