Our 18 year old grandson was attacked and his arm gashed open. He is being operated on right now. Everything seemed to be working OK so we are looking for a good outcome physically at least.
He is an accomplished liar so we have no idea what really happened. I am praying that this will be a wake up call for him and he will get his life right with God.

The real story is that he injured his arm while he and his friends were burglarizing his previous employer. The surgery went well but he will be in jail for a long time.
Prayers this will not harden his heart and for the family.

I'm very sorry to hear your Grandson got injured but is going to be okay. This must be very hard to know he's going to jail - prayers for your family (((SunnyD))).

Well they released him because he was co-operative and they didn't want the liability of his injured arm. He spent the night at the mission and will probably be there for a while.
The police will charge him but nothing more is known. So my fears of him being in adult jail are abated. His mom was wondering if this will be his bottom. He isn't addicted to anything but stupidity.
Prayers for the family..his brother and sister are devastated.
Thank you for your prayers and love.

SunnyD, I am so sorry that your grandson has lost this connection to himself. Prayers for him, you and others in his family. May he be safe. May he wake up to see his real self.

I'm so sorry SunnyD. I don't understand why some people have to have such a difficult path to follow that will lead them to God, but I pray for your grandson that he has overcome the worst and is ready now to know Him. Please know you and your family are included in my prayers. I didn't word this how I wanted to say it but I hope you understand my heart is with you all.

Thank you so much..
He is now at the Mission and probably will be until his trial. He has been charged with 5 burglaries in one city..2 in another. He checked if they can put him in jail since he is homeless but they are not going to. He will be formally charged this week and the trial date set.
It is very hard for us all not to swoop in and offer him a place to stay but tough love has to apply here. We have done all we could and the results..well you can see them.
At the mission he is hearing others stories, being ministered to and perhaps his heart will change for the better.
Thank you for your prayers..I know they are working.

Gee we need prayer...
My grandson had court yesterday. It was mainly to make an appearance and then book and release afterwords. It seams that his lawyer didn't show up so they decided to keep him. Our family is grateful as he has been living on the streets.
However, they have so far left him in the jail my son works at and the inmates are already buzzing all over the place about who's son is in jail.
My son was off yesterday and today. He goes back tomorrow. And has been trying to get my grandson moved to another county's jail. So far it has been unsuccessful. The reason they are giving him is they don't know if my grandson is being released.
My grandson is being held in a classification pod under PC and is resusing protective custody.
Please be praying for my son. It is hard knowing my grandson could open his mouth and say something dumb and make things very difficult for my grandson's safety and for my son's work.
It hurts me that he is not willing to think of the family and what his actions mean for us.
