Perhaps somebody can -Help- me with my problem? I am not a very religious person and still I started a -Quest- to help -All- human beings with mental disorders and thoughts of -Suicide- etc. I mailed over four hundred reports at twenty five pages each to many different segments of the mental health industry, the response has been amost non existant? Now why has -God-or mental health professionals etc. not responded by having somebody become interested in this proven method of mental health recovery? Years of working in a top mental health rehabilitation facility in N.J. allowed me to observe -Clients- in an everyday trusting -Almosphere of Kindness- which showed vast improvements and reduction in -Suicides- of all kinds? These observations have tremendous potential to help all of -Gods- people and it would cost little or nothing in extra expense and revolutionize how human beings can be helped? -Why- has no one used -Full Time Kindness- to help people with mental disorders and used a -Everyday Program of Suicide Prevention-???Why???

dear johnspeaks,
why don't you create a personl internet blog or website about this imortant topic? that way you could reach a lot more people than simply mailing information out. i don't have any idea how to do that, but you may be able to find information about that under Community Feedback and Technical Support forum or google it? i think there are blogs here at PC too (just click on "Blogs" at the top of the page). maybe create one here? i really don't know how that works but i wish you well. by the way....WELCOME! ![]() ![]() Last edited by DancingAlone; Jan 28, 2011 at 04:17 PM. I'm sorry you haven't heard back from the people you sent this info to. I think Dancing Alone gave a great idea, with starting a website or blog - you can make a PC blog here. Maybe you can explain a little about the main points here. It's great you're trying to help people.

it's great that you want to help people with such a serious issue. the ideas of a website or blog are really good ones. i think you might also have better results if rather than sending such a long document you initially send out something that is a page or two and within it give people the opportunity to request the full document. you could make the initial contact piece either a letter or a brochure/newsletter or something like that. be sure to include a short statement of your qualifications (relevant work experience & degrees) and a quote by a professional reference or two as people will want to know what your background is if you are offering advice and a protocol for treatment. you might also want to consider working/volunteering with a suicide prevention organization and once you've earned their trust and respect (this will take time) to then give them a copy of your document and ask for feedback/comments/thoughts on it. if they like it and do end up utilizing it within their organization then you can ask them for their endorsement of your document and you'll have much more clout in approaching others. good luck.

or even make a forum here by contacting docJohn and asking him if you could start a forum and explain what you want to do with it. There is no harm in asking, and I think treating humans with kindness, respect, and dignity is needed in the world today. I hope that you will find the best mode of relaying the information you have while you are here.

Thank you for some of the replies and the helpful ideas that you expressed? Since I was hoping to get mental health professionals interested in my ideas and research and this way I would not have too worry about -Clients- taking my ideas out of context? -Caregivers- are the key to mental health recovery for clients because they have -Empathy-and -Compassion- etc. and the time to help their lover one?

My thoughts are that sometimes the most successful people are often rejected time and time again before the exact right situation appears. But the thing that makes them successful is they were relentless in their conviction that someday their vision / idea would be realized. They always knew. And in that knowing they kept the space open for it to come to them in right timing. I say this because I believe there are people out there who do embrace the model you describe. I think its a very important model for healing ~ for life, actually. Perhaps you have been looking at the mainstream mental health community and eventually you will find a more alternative mental health community that will embrace the report you have compiled. I do not know. Just a thought. But I do believe that your theory, if you will, is very correct.
Since this is the spiritual sanctuary area, I will venture to suggest asking loving spirit, whomever you chose, to lead you to the next step. Then perhaps just have faith that this will be done. When the time is right, the door (or way) will open. I wish you best |
