for Dad. tomorrow will be his last transfusion. nothing is working anymore. he is very weak now and can hardly even talk. I don't know how to do this. very sad today.

You and your father will be high in my prayers hun. I can't imagine how you are feeling through all of this but know that you are not alone and we are here to sit with you through this sad final stages.

today Dad told me he is going Home soon. I know time now is very short.

guys I have a specific prayer....Dad is pretty weak now and the dr said he would go in one of 2 ways. either a major bleed either externally or internally or he would just go to sleep. please pray for the latter. I plan on being with him and I honestly don't think I could handle the first. please pray.

I think Dad's time is coming soon. He is not eating much at all and the weight is dropping rapidly. Not talking too much but I did get a laugh out of him today. He can still get up to go potty and sit in his recliner but going down pretty fast now. just wanted to update.

Having gone through a similar circumstance with my mum, I certainly understand how difficult this is for you my friend. You have been and continue to be a wonderful support for your father. You have done everything right for the both of you. May God hold you both in his loving hands, sending you both the strength and peace you need at this time.

(((bebop and Father))) - I understand and empathize with your situation(as Sabby said)) with my own mother. It's very hard seeing a parent near the end. As difficult as it was...... I don't know if anyone can relate.....but it was also a special time for my mother and me. I'm trying to find the right word to describe but I can't ATM without sounding morbid. I think most of society doesn't handle death gracefully enough. When I think of it now, I'm just content in knowing I was there through the end.

Life goes full circle and we need to be there for our loved ones and friends. I cherished every moment I had with my mother, even near the end. I'll be praying that it goes the easy, peaceful way for your dear dad.

It is a gift to be a part of the circle. Indeed to cherish life, even the end of it is the gift a child and a parent have to give each other.

I am really hoping to be there at the end too. it is unpredictable as to how it will happen hence the hope to be there. he is growing very weak now and just today I made him start using a walker to help keep him stable. it is going down pretty fast though as far as strength goes.

just wanted to update. Dad has not really eaten much. yesterday a little soup and today nothing. not drinking much either. few sips I guess today. looks like it will be soon now.

i'm so sorry bebop. my prayers are with you and your sweet father at this time.
