in need of some prayers here...

last night, my favorite cat (Stripes) got injuried in an accident of some kind. i found him laying in the barn, with one leg missing and half a tail. i had to tell my dad to come and put him to sleep. burying Stripes was extremely hard to do. i basically cried for an hour straight; i just couldn't stop. i think my dad even shed a few tears, because i never let my parents see me cry.

you see, i had four favorite cats. and the early part of last year, i had two of them die about 6 weeks apart. and now Stripes is number three. i just don't know that i can handle this much pain. i love my cats - they are like my kids. but losing them - it's just more pain than a person with depression should have to deal with...

(((jrae))) - I'm so sorry to hear ((Stripes)) suffered this traumatic accident. This must have been extremely shocking to see him in this state. I'll pray you feel better soon.

jrae, I am so very sorry to hear about your losses. Of course its even more difficult to handle this huge loss when you feel depressed. Cats, and dogs can indeed be dear family members. I have had two cats. so I know all about that. Again, I am so sorry for all your recent losses, including your beloved Stripes. I will indeed pray for you.
Thanks for this!

I just said a prayer for you now, that God will comfort you with supernatural comfort and healing, and that he will fill that empty void that your kitty left.

jrae,
I am so sorry you lost your little friend. At least he managed to get home and didn't suffer somewhere else. At least you got to relieve him of his suffering. I know it is very hard but you were there when he needed you.

Maybe you could visit the local pound and adopt another cat or kitten and give another one a chance and a home. You have love left to give and there are lots of cats that need to have homes and love.

And remember that you did give that cat love and he probably had more happiness than if he had not had a loving home at all.

so sorry about you're loss.
I say prayers all the time, if it helps i will say some for stripes; and i'll say some for you to, to help you through you're loss.

thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. it's been a rough week for me...

i live on a farm so we have more than five cats, but i do have my fav/special ones. and i've always said that "i'm a sucker for a stripe-ped kitty". that's probably why i fell in love with Stripes from the time he was a baby kitten.

losing him is twice as hard for me because of the fact that he had a son. his son is Charlie, who happens to look almost identical to Stripes! so cute they are/were! it's just really hard to look at Charlie and not see Stripes in him.

and now, Charlie's brother Al (who is orange and white) has been missing for a week! Al and i had a special bond and i would see him at least once a day, which is why him being gone for so long is strange. i try to keep some positive thoughts by saying that he just lost his way and ended up at another farm. but that's hard to believe.

i just feel so devistated right now, losing two special cats in one week...
