I would like to ask for some prayers for my dad who is in the hospital right now. He has a bleeding ulcer and they have already done a couple of transfusions as he lost a lot of blood. He is stable now, and they are going to do more tests. I am very worried.

Thank you,
Open Eyes

Thank you for your prayers. I went to visit my dad yesterday and he looked so old and weak and helpless. It was very hard to see him that way as he was always so strong and handsome.

They are keeping him in the hospital for more tests. I am praying and I just want to be there for him and I hope he can get back to getting his strength back.

He is 85 now and I am aware that it is a fragile age. I am just trying to be strong and I just keep praying.

How is your Dad doing Open eyes......I just saw this post....sorry I didn't see it when you initially posted it.....praying that your dad is doing better.

I know it's hard when we see our parents getting older & their health is no longer well & they aren't the strong parents we once had. I lost my mother to cancer 7 years ago. The trauma involved because of her unwise way of handling her life only complicated the situation & left me with a very unkind feelings toward my mother. But I remember that last Thanksgiving dinner together when she was sitting across the table all slumped over her meal, not able to feed herself but trying to cover it up by saying she wasn't hungry.......it definitely hurts to see them getting older & needing more & more of our care which I know we more than willingly give.

Oh, thank you for the prayers and support. My dad is home and staying quiet and healing. He does look much better now, but I can see his age more.

Yes, it is hard to see our parents age and look frail. I don't like to think too far ahead to be honest. I keep telling myself that I will cross that difficult bridge eventually sadly. I am just thinking about him in the now and being ok right now.

Thanks for the prayers and support.
