Hello Psych Central Fam!,
I hope you all are having a wonderful week thus far. If not remind yourself that better days are ahead.
Today I come to you in need of some insight from a spiritual point of view. Lately, I keep picking up phantom smells. Meaning I smell things that has no physical reason for me to actually smell them. Today the phantom smell was baby milk. It smells exactly like baby formula and baby powder. Actually it smells like a freshly bathed baby. My husband and I do not have any infants in the home or infants that even visit for that matter.
First let me say, I do believe some spirits have smells. I know this may sound rather bizarre. However, it is something I believe wholeheartedly.
My question is: What does it mean when you keep smelling babies, baby formula?
I'm open to any & all insight you may have. Thanks in advance.

I've heard that spirits emit smells that are associated with them, like a perfume they used to wear, and inhuman or corrupt spirits emit awful smells. I would take the phantom smell of a baby as a good omen in your home

It is better to check for physical causes first, as you are doing. Then medical causes. Odd smells often happen before migraines, although those tend to be really bad smells. And baby smells would be one of the worst to me, anyway. So if it is a spirit, try asking yes or no questions and see if the smell gets stronger (yes) or weaker (no) or stays the same (maybe). One of my first questions might me "Are you a Spirit?".

Thank you for your response. That is what I was thinking. Inedible I had never thought to question it. The next time I smell it, I will.

it could even be an airborne smell from outside garbage, people dump their baby diapers in bins, but that would smell like poo!!!!
