I've sought after love for many years now and been unsuccessful and now I'm wondering if love is really the ultimate thing we can get in life.
I just want to know if it's worth fighting through life just for love (which I think is true happiness based on experience). I'm not materialistic nor religious and generally unhappy in life. So in other words, is life worth living just for love? (someone you would die for) |

Life is all experiences, not just love.

Love is not only toward a person in a romantic way. Love is also between friends, family, children, strangers, pets. I think it is worth living for.

I believe we cannot limit love to the romantic kind, although if you live without it - or experienced a negative version of it - it can seem lonely or bleak. I believe love is everywhere, that the universe was created with love and that we are all loved whether we know it or not. I think it remains our work in life to experience it the best we can, and to learn to connect to it from within (as hard as that can be).

Hello, eonblue12. Limiting your focus may be the reason for your general unhappiness. Doing good works, like volunteering, might expand your focus and bring you some sense of contentment.
