In my mediation I get some strange imagery –
1. Whenever I meditate, I often see people, including myself, with their egos manifested as fireballs around their chest. People would talk, and I could see their egos shining, inflaming etc. I never felt anything close to this before I started doing this.
2. I picturized a pond once, but suddenly an unknown creature jumped out of the water, with his face not visible
3. I could see a person’s conversation in images. That when a person began to speak I could see words in pictures originating in his brain, then slowly transformed to words, and then suddenly tumbled out of his mouth to the next person. This was an imagery I got while meditating. It came suddenly and I didn’t do anything for that.
Can anyone please explain the meaning of these stuffs? I will be grateful.

i was taught that one of the important things in meditation is to allow thoughts, (and images), feelings and memories to just arise and pass away. do not focus on them. do not seek to give them meaning. seek the silence and the calm that underlies all things. turn your mind again and again to the quiet place.

best wishes~
Gus

In meditation the imagination has no limits. At times ,when I do my meditations while camping at Spirit Mountain, my spirit guides can be normal Natives, or Horses, or Natives that are half horse. Enjoy the images and don't over analyise them.

That is exactly right, don't over analyse the images. When they arise you just need to let them pass by, acknowledge them but don't pay much attention to them.

When you see people and objects in meditation it is your lack of attention that exhibits itself as various perceptions. In your case it was seeing but people hear things, feels things etc.

As you get more practice with meditation these will start to subside and you will be able to focus a lot better.

Cheers

^ What Gus1234 said. All worrying about their meaning is doing is distracting you from your practice.

Meditators have assigned 3 "levels" of the mind; gross, subtle and very subtle. The waking world around us is perceived by the gross mind. It's very easy to perceive, assign and make sense of. The subtle mind perceives our dream world. Because the connection to the gross body is weakened, we remember really jumbled up weirdness; "Dude! You wouldn't believe what I dreamed about!" The very subtle mind ... well, I'll get to that.

Anywho, as you meditate, your mind "dissolves" inward and your subtle mind will start to become manifest. Since its connection to your gross body is weak, you'll see all kinds of weird stuff. Like we mentioned before, colors, people ... I, like you, have "seen" words.

As Gus1234 said, don't worry about that though. Like I mentioned before, your mind is a wild bull elephant right now and its running all over the place. Don't worry about what it drums up for you and just focus on your breathing (or other object of meditation).

(Really wild stuff follows so don't be freaked out)

Concerning the very subtle mind, in most people the connection to the gross body is completely gone. You'll never remember what it perceives however with extensive training, it's possible to make that connection. At that point, a meditator is capable of perceiving what is known as "Example and Meaning Clear Light". This is the same as the "Clear Light of Sleep" and ... pause for dramatic effect ... the "Clear Light of Death". Yep. It's possible to completely perceive and use the notorious "light at the end of the tunnel" in meditation. But the training to get to that stage is insanely difficult. Just and FYI, nothing you need to concern yourself with now.

Oh, fun food for thought on this one ...

The mind, not the brain, is located in the chest. Funny how your subtle mind assigned those egos to that area ...
Thanks for this!
