I truly believe we have a home that we came here from. I'm just trying to figure out why the hell did I decide to come here in the first place. Some think this Earth is a learning ground. I am tired of being here. I'm not suicidal, I just want off this rock sometimes. I get so sad when I see the strife, suffering, hate, injustice, and inequality. I want to change it all and I can't. That's where my depression comes from. Anyone else feel this way?

It can be very overwhelming when looking at the world and feeling like we want to "fix it". There is no human being on this planet that can do that, it's too large of a problem for one human being to take on.

I think there are some human beings that are able to make big differences in many areas and most of us human beings can make a small difference that is just as important and helpful as those who have the ability to work on a larger scale.

In our spiritual realms, creating some peace, appreciation, happiness, compassion even to just one person each day, can be enough to make that difference for someone in the world who is struggling. Sometimes it can be giving someone a smile, a thank you, handing a burger to someone who is hungry, helping a physically disabled person by opening a door for them, whatever small kindness can be given creates a warmth within us and a knowledge that we have done the right thing.

We never know how many people we affect with one kindness to one person. People pass things on and pass them forward. So, in effect, one kindness to one person can be passed on to many many people. To me, that is one of the most wonderful things that I can do for other human beings.

I think there are times when we need to change how we think about the "big picture". We need to break it down into smaller pieces so that it doesn't overwhelm us in the grand scheme of things.

to me, compassion means understanding that people often learn the best lessons from suffering, and not wanting to take away the rewards of their experiences, but still hoping they find the fruits soon.

i hope you find the fruits of your suffering soon.

Humanity as a whole is nothing more than an infant on this planet. One day it will wake up and get over itself....and yes I too struggle with this...I have hard time interacting with people actually because most are caught up in illusionary perceptions and not looking at bigger pictures..

You might want to check out "The Pyramid Code". The Egyptians believed that we are spiritual beings having a human experience.

Here's Part 1:

I think you'll find it very interesting. There are five parts. You don't have to watch them in any particular order.

That's a novel understanding, to me. But a helpful one.

Yes I feel the same Inkangel. I think Ive tired of this human experience, thats not to say I want to vacate as we shouldnt wish life away. Im weary of the way its all going. I see it every day. The suffering both human and animal. The cruelty, the violence. The blindness and vanity. When I was younger my awareness and reaction to this state we are in was a major factor in my depressive episodes. Now being a long termer I can deal with that better but still it needles in.

The world we are living in right now is chaotic I think...I believe that each and everyone is the center of their own universe and when those each and every universe is chaotic, the physical world we are living in becomes chaotic.
so I am trying to take control over my own world first. I hope someday I can help others to do so too.

But what if we aren't here to change the world, but to be here and be the best we can be?

From what I understand, we can change the world most efficiently by working to remember our own light. As we can do this, to the degree we do it, we add to the collective consciousness that some day will shift the suffering and imbalance. So perhaps it might be good to know that as you bring more light into your light, you are helping in the very best way possible.

I have a friend who believes that as long as one person one person on earth is suffering she can feel no peace. She missed the point. She can assist by feeling peace. I find it so hard to do that. But I do believe the premise.

Being in a human form on earth, especially at this time is not easy at all. It can be so challenging. I think we are shifting out the darkness and the pain. And that is so hard. Well, those are my thoughts. for what they are worth

Yes I believe that also, you have to go through it to ever get out of it.. but knowing that doesn't make it any less painful.. and it has been such a long and tragic journey... my mind is so tired and my heart hurts so bad. and I am trying so hard to be strong

Wow! Y'all had so much good stuff to share! I can so relate to the feeling of "why am I here doing good, yet suffering so much..." Suffering is something we all go through,we have to come to a place where we see"WE CAN"T FIX EVERYONE OR THING!!" That is one of my big tough lessons in this life too. I spent 40 years trying to "fix" people I loved that wanted to be hurtful. I tried to help kids that were caught in the middle, and lost time with my own grand kids. Now I can look back, and see that it was a test(did it suck?--yes big time!) I kept my own counsel, and when it was TOO Much-- I left the situation. Now I'm finding out,I'm okay. Do I have some issues? YES,yet not as bad as I was lead to believe. There are some great folks here, hang in there------it does get betteroxoxoxooxoxoxoo

What I believe too is that the bad things around us are put there for some unknown reason as of yet but we all live in our little corners of the world and try and try to help each other positively from the bad things that happen, we are all brothers and sisters in this world and we need each other to lean on. We also share in the good times too.

awesome news! I totally understand though why you posted it originally. You were believing the doctors. I am saying a non denomonational prayer for your brother. For what its worth, my brother is very very very sick. And I do mean VERY. And he is the relative who is the most caring and loving. I know the horror and the fear and the excruciating pain.

You are so kind, Thank you for the encouragement, I can sure use it right now.. The doctors wont do a brain scan.. said he needs to heal more..today has been 10 days since the accident and they finally took him to surgery to repair his broken bones.. pins and plates in arm and hips.. But I am thinking real positive and have that denominational prayer flowing from my heart for both our brothers and thinking positive!

I'm a little late coming to this, but wanted to share that just because doctors say "brain dead" does not mean the person won't live. To them it means that, but it just isn't so, and they (the MDs) are proven wrong many times, especially when the family has money or insurance to continue life support. Grrrr. The body has more than one control center, and just because the brain center stops for a bit doesn't mean it won't return or that the other centers (heart, stomach) won't take over and keep them alive until it does.

all the best for you

Thank you Maybe that surgery is a very good sign. That there has been significant enough healing so the surgery is even recommended and possible. Asking for miracles and healing light for him

Spirituality means a lot of different things. I believe in God and that
He gave us a way to redeem our brokenness (sinful nature) and offers us love, acceptance, peace, eternal well-being etc. The more I step away from the me mentality and surrender to a greater being, I receive more and more peace, love and acceptance as a fallible human. Lose and death are such a huge part of the human experience. Our culture presses us to be able to do all and be all. Its impossible.
This world is very chaotic.. I dont think that will ever change.
That doesnt mean that I dont make a difference. I see so many opportunities to pass love and kindness to people with very little effort on my part. All I have to do is my little part. God takes care of the rest. Blessings to all of you who read this. Know that you are loved. Take some time today to love yourself.
