I went to church yesterday. It's not my faith, but the place is near me. They are nice. I need to socialize as I know no one except the people I stay with. Something is upsetting me. I feel like I have no choice. I am in spiritual search for a while. I don't like being told there is only one way to believe. But I need to see other people.

Maybe you are just scared about coming out of your shell. I know it's hard to get to know new people but if you stick it out you will become one of their friends too. I just put myself out there and did make alot of nice friends especially at church, although i only now have a eucharistic minister come to my home on Sundays. The reason for not going to church for me is because i get seizures. For you i think you've taken the first step by going to the church. Keep up the good work!!!

If this church has different beliefs than you do, it might worth while to go a little further in search of one that shares your beliefs. It is a great outlet for meeting people but hard if you don't share the same beliefs.

Hugs. Unless they are outwardly pushing you-- it is probably coming from inside you.
