Hello everyone, Could you all pray for me? Im currently starting to go through a confusing and daunting process of trying to change my major, and find one that i like better and that i would like doing for my life. Thank you.

Oh I hope you have help with that... uni counselor that can give you a self-inventory to take to really see your attributes and interest perhaps?
I changed majors after my master degree! Too many people constantly inquiring as to where I would teach!  Don't let professors sweet talk you... you KNOW they only fill their classes so they continue to earn a paycheck.

I said a prayer for you but I would do some research on finding a good major.
Here is a good place to begin your employment part of the research: O*NET OnLine Here is a good place to look at your personality, values, etc Take MAPP Assessment Login Onet is free, I think MAPP is also free for the basic skills assessment. If I recollect correctly the paid version is more in depth but doesn't really add anything to the basic test. In other words, make sure you need the info before you pay. Your school should also have assesments and they are probably included in the price of tuition. Use them, or use them to verify your results. Do not make a rash decision, you are going to spend a long time paying for something you don't want to do. If you get stuck with a job you hate, life becomes miserable and long. People spend more time at work than they do anywhere else. Take the time and get it right. |

nak0604, I have put you in my prayer box.
I also agree with what others suggested. Going to your school's counseling or other dept. that offers assessments on personality that matches you with a list of possible careers best suited to you. I did that in the past and it did help a lot. Searching for a new major is a good thing! You definitely want to be happy in whatever job/career you choose. I send you my most positive thoughts.

Thank you, I'm proud to say that I may have found my major I'm going to take. I may go into GIS GPS. If you don't know what it is search it, that will give you a better description then I can right now haha

I have to say a big shout out / thank you to my very close friend Maddie for being there when I broke down and started crying because I couldn't handle my current major and comforting me in the time of need. I was to thank her for all the support she has given me throughout my hard times in my life. She's the best!
