I know this is a poem and might fit under the creative corner, but it is a spiritual poem so I thought it was better here. I wrote it when thinking about the trauma of depression and how I sometimes lash out and struggle instead of letting God hold me.
Love Beyond Understanding I am two, kicking against the pricks, Beating my small fists against God’s chest. Soothing me when I am wrought, He enfolds me in his gentle arms. When I see the wounds I’ve placed there, I weep. He wears them as tender badges of His love for me. I weep for the blood I’ve caused to be shed. He enfolds me in his gentle arms, Willing to bear what I cannot, While I press my palms against my chest And fight my natural failings.

I can sure relate! Don't we all do that, though? Yet He loves us still.
