I'm running a conference at my university, under the umbrella of a Christian group that is world-wide - I'm the regional representative for my university in that group.

I'm running a Winter conference from the 26th-28th of this month (next weekend).

And I'm still trying to pull it together ... this late.

Not asking any help of anyone here because I've got the ideas, just need to learn how to plan but some good thoughts or prayers that everything runs smoothly and that the people attending develop their understanding of the global community, themselves, and religion/spirituality better would always be appreciated.

I've never run a workshop in my life ... let alone 3 days!

Most ppl want information. Some ppl just want it in written form, to read for themselves, others need someone to tell and show them Still others just want a nudge, and the fellowship!

Make sure to plan in enough time for chit chat... sometimes the best information someone can take with them is what another taught them from experience when shared in casual conversation. Oh yeah, food helps too

If you help them to have fun, don't worry if they don't learn everything, because they'll be back for more fun and you can teach them again!

It was an enlightening experience with community building and examining biblical references.

I enjoyed myself as did everyone else. I'm so looking forward to the National Conference in May!!

It's two provinces away, in Winnipeg.

So I also get to visit my family and have a vacation - YAY!

And I've been to the national conference before, which is fun - much more organized and religious as well.
