So often we All can just focus on all that seems "not right " or " negative" on our lives. I asked the people at my Spirituality Chat today to begin to Practice or Observe Gratitude and then share their expierences with that here.

I suggest this link for an idea of what this Practice is about and How to give it a try!! It's an interesting read regardless! And if Y'all think ya might give it a try too~ by all means Please Share?? Thanks!!

How to Start a Gratitude Practice and Change Your Life

Yes, this is a wonderful article and the idea of having a time after awaking to start the day and end our day on a positive note by being grateful for little things like the birds singing and the sun shining can be a great way to start the day. It can also be a time to become aware of the moment and put aside the dreams of the night and the plans for the day just to focus on simple things to be grateful for like the breath going in......................................... and then out.............................................................

There is a lot to grateful for but I forget when I get too absorbed in the latest problem. Thanks for reminding us to remember to start and end our day on a positive note.

I hope others share what they are grateful for.

I was thinking today ... the beauty of GRATITUDE is that it is 'present moment'. When I make a gratitude list, I am never in the past or future ... I am in the NOW.

That awareness of how gratitude can bring us into the present moment came to me today as I was taking a walk and enjoying the cooler weather, squirrels playing, etc. ... thanks again for this post ... I am grateful for it!

Little Lulu, liked your thoughts on gratitude. Seems like most of the things I am grateful for are fleeting, that makes them that much more precious.

Practicing gratitude on a daily has also been shown to help ease symptoms of depression. When we regularly focus on what we have and not what we don’t have, our mindsets instantly start to change. Practicing daily gratitude can be achieved through performing acts of kindness, giving thanks to people and keeping a gratitude journal to reflect on all the things we have to be grateful for.

Hippiebea, this is a wonderful thing to think of gratitude. It takes away some of the sense of separation and reveals how much fullness there is in our lives.

Tonight yoga class was an opening of the body and also opening of new energy to meet the challenges of the day. That kind of opening really gives me a boost.

What else inspires and uplifts people? Curious to know if you care to share.

Hippiebea, I believe things come to us when we need them. Earlier today I was pondering on my recent unhappiness. I questioned why I'm unhappy when I have many of the tangible and intangible things I want in life. Then I came across this thread. Thank you!

Let's Keep this Thread ALIVE??

The Holidays are close upon us and for Many can be a difficult time. One of my T's told me to "Make your Own... New... Memories" when facing the Holidays~ yes I am "one of those" LOL It took me awhile to understand just what he was saying and while they can still be a stressful time for me I DO find ways to Relax and even Enjoy them My Way~ and for that I am Truly Grateful!!.

I ran across this link and thought I would share

50 Things I?m Grateful For ? turning misery into gratitude
