Well.... let's say this... I'm 40 from my SECOND birth! I just turned 40 ;) In 1967 I accepted Christ as my Savior. It was March 20th or 22nd. I can't recall today... too much stress. (One is my second birthdate and one is my childhood best friend's real birthdate I just turned 40 ;) )

How this changed my life! How this gave me life! I don't know how others go through the things they do without having the Holy Spirit within them to guide them and console them, and to relate to the Father what my groans mean.

I just turned 40 ;) Thank you Lord for such a wonderful gift!

I'd never thought of it that way. Where would I start counting from; the Sunday that I made my Profesion of Faith (as a child), the night I accepted Christ as my Savior (as a teen), the 4th of July that I was baptised in an ice cold river at 25 yrs old), or... when I truly felt that "He touched me and made me whole" (some 30 yrs ago)?

Aww, thank you for sharing that.

Now, you have me wanting to get my old Bible out (my first "real" leather Bible). The date is written in there.

I'd say I'm 33 now I just turned 40 ;)

KD

Septembermorn, I would count from your acceptance as a teen. Your profession as a child could have been "through" the faithfulness of those around you keeping you in His care. (I Cor 7:14??? ooo don't quote me) Baptism has nothing to do with salvation, but is a witness to what has already happened... hehehe SO NOW how old are ya??? HUH HUH HUH?I just turned 40 ;)

Yes, KD, I should check and get those dates squared away, but that part of my brain just refuses to learn!

Come to think of it, I was baptized as an infant in the Presbyterian church... then by immersion.

How kewl!

Septie, I lean towards the belief that as babies and young children, we are covered by the Christianity of our parents... if that be applicable. That you were baptised as a baby means someone was responsible for you who believed, and thus you were also "covered" for the time being. I cristened both my sons in the Presbyterian church, but it wasn't for anything they had done I just turned 40 ;) It was acknowledging them and dedicating them before and to God. I would still go by when you knowingly turned to God for your salvation.
