... from my Dad. A Pearl (or an Egg) of Wisdom

As my family was walking through the mall, we passed the large, decorated area where little kids were allowed to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap for a picture. After glancing down at the scene, my father mused, "I've always wondered why you don't get to sit on Jesus' lap for Easter."

Think about that for a minute. Take it out of context, remove the implications regarding materialism/consumerism/ect.

Why AREN'T we sitting in Jesus' lap this Easter? Why can't we? A Pearl (or an Egg) of Wisdom

Just something to think about, my friends. Happy Easter.

faithfully,
~muse

Because Jesus would do it for free, and the malls want to make their money? A Pearl (or an Egg) of Wisdom

Jesus said; "Come unto me ALL ye who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." [Mathew 11 verse 28]
I'll certainly take him up on that invitation!
Happy Easter!

Heck! I was at the mall Friday and the Easter Bunny was there for kids to get their picture taken with! A Pearl (or an Egg) of Wisdom

$$$$$! It was $34.99! for a packet of pictures plus a gift = a basket with a little stuffed bunny it-I didn't notice if there was candy! A Pearl (or an Egg) of Wisdom

$34.99??? I'll take my own pics, thank you.

There's probably a secular aspect to it, too. The Easter Bunny is Pagan and while Easter is a religious holiday, it was combined with Pagan features to try to convert the Pagans, and the malls understandably don't want to push one religion over another.
