Happy Wednesday, all!

In Sunday School lately, we've been studying a book called THE WORD IS VERY NEAR YOU(PRAYING WITH SCRIPTURE)-VERY GOOD!

The last 2 weeks, it's just been me and the woman preist which has been great. We'll discuss the book and then practice LD for a few minutes-she read the passage twice and then I sat and meditated on the part that spoke to me.

I've found it to be relaxing and stilling to my mind. When I ws younger, it was all about "How many times have you read the Bible through?" but now at midlife, I just want to take things in smaller chunks.

YES.... I have done this many times before, but not in the jest of Lectio Divina by name (not for sure we even knew of it) - but a group of ladies & misionaries from my church would get together once a week to pray for the church, prayer request, our pastor & other church leaders... and the world (and) at times we just felt lead by the Lord to read certain scriptures and to let them talk to each and every one of us as God would have us hear.

It was a spiritual connection beyond all others.....
right up there next to being taken out by the spirit during church service or prayer time.
