Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall;
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

By Mother Goose

This is a story about God. God sat on a wall and fell. God became fragmented. How did God fall? God fell when men first began to assign names to God. The men had seen God on the wall and began pushing and shoving and pulling at God in disagreement over what GOD should be named. God (Humpty Dumpty)fell and became shards that lay upon the ground. Each man walked over to God and picked up a fragment. Holding their fragment in the air, the men acclaimed, THIS IS GOD! and scurried away with their small piece of God, to share it with others. Each man took a piece of God and went their own way, proclaiming it was they, and only they, who had GOD.

They were each right, in that, each held a piece of GOD and that in each piece, was GOD. Meanwhile, GOD lay on the ground, fractured. Some pieces of GOD lay unclaimed. The men had scattered the remainder of pieces to different areas and distributed them amongst the people. Like any of who have consciousness, GOD quietly, and unheard, desired only to be whole again.

How can Humpty Dumpty be made whole again?

Achemy, I respect your right to an opinion but I believe that the talk about God falls outside the guidelines for the sanctuary are as follows
Quote:
No religious talk whatsoever is allowed here in this specific forum, including but not limited to church, clergy, the Bible, etc. Thank you
There are other forums where religious talk is accepted and encouraged.

Thanks CANDC! I've become so much better at accepting criticism than I used to be. It wasn't my intention to be disrespectful. Have I misunderstood something? I've seen "God" mentioned in here on many posts. I'm aware of the guidelines. I'm not totally clear about what is acceptable.

The Forum Index gives this:

This Sanctuary is a place for people of all spiritual beliefs and faiths to offer support and compassion to each other in the form of prayers, meditation, and expressions of spirituality.

Since yours is the only comment so far, it can't be considered a discussion but all criticisms are welcome.

Your comment inspired me to think of different ways this could have been written with many improvements. For now, I'll just keep it this way.

Hi Al,

Yes, of course the words God and Higher Power are all over this forum,
Those words are commonly used by the majority of people who pursue and practice spirituality.

Administrators are the people who decide which post are acceptable.

Look see who the administrator is in this forum and send them some chocolates

Thanks for this!

In the spirit of sharing ideas, and, in exploring and expressing spirituality, I have this comment to make at this time. I hope it offends no one.

In reviews, criticism, and analysis of "Humpty Dumpty", I have read that one take on the last sentences of the rhyme:

All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

is a reference to the Kings' Armies. So it is a condition of the answer to the question of how to put Humpty Dumpty together again, that it can not be accomplished by the means of the Kings Army.

That is not to say that putting Humpty Dumpty together can not be achieved.
