I had a yard sale Saturday and met these folks and they invited me to their Bible study. I have never heard of The Way... They hold their studies in a private home..

I tend to get mixed up in the wrong things at times and was wondering if this was an OK fellowship. I do not want to get mixed up in some kind of cult..

I remember quite expressly when The Way came into the USA and it was branded a cult at the time. I think one of the reasons orthodox Christians rebuked this group is that, while it says Jesus is the Son of God, it also says He isn't God Himself. This, of course has direct effect upon salvation beliefs. There are other issues that counter the general beliefs of orthodox Christians. I don't wish to get into a debate about cults. If you're looking for a standard, basic Christian fellowship, this is not where you want to be.

((((hugs)))) You are smart for asking. I wonder if it was the Spirit within you giving you the inclination to ask. Anyone ever hear of (The Way Fellowship)

Wikipedia has a pretty good history of their group and beliefs, etc. I remember them from the 1960s and 70s when I was with Campus Crusade for Christ. I agree with Sky.

Thanks Sky. A lil red flag popped up inside and I did not know why. So I thought I should ask if anyone knew anything about *The Way* Good information here..

I am looking for a standard, basic fellowship and decided not to attend their Bible study...I sure am glad I asked here...Sometimes I jump into things before checking out what I am jumping into..
thanks again
