I would like to hear from anyone here who knows much about Gnosticism...your thoughts about it. In my grad study, I've encountered some literature that suggests Apostle Paul, and even Jesus may have been part of the Gnostic sect.

I can't say I know MUCH about Gnosticism, but I went to a Jesuit university for my undergrad and of course studied Theology. Most of what I recall, though, about Gnostics is that they were inconsistent in their actions regarding how to prove their devotion, and that some of their rituals were rather extreme. What we know of Jesus indicates that he did seem to be in line with Gnostic beliefs.
