This is an excerpt from a devotional book a friend sent me for Christmas, Streams in the Desert:
"Feed on his faithfulness." Psalm 37:3 I once met a poor woman, who earned a precarious living by hard daily labor, but who was a joyous triumphant Christian. Tomorrow's bridge is a dangerous thing; I dare not cross it now. I can see its timbers sway and swing... O heart, you must hope always; You must sing and trust and say: I'll bear the sorrow that comes tomorrow But I'll borrow none today. EJ |

Paraphrased... "Worry not about tomorrow. Today has enough trouble of its own."
Those are words to live by, EJ! Thank you for reminding us! __________________ Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. |

Hi September Morn and Friends,
It was also the part about "Feeding on his faithfulness". I love the hymn, "Great is His Faithfulness". I have been spending too much time focusing on the precariousness of our financial situation, since losing my $58,000/yr. position five years ago. God has been faithful to me since then, as He has ALL my life. I haven't gone hungry, and have been able to pay the majority of my bills, albeit a bit more slowly than I used to. "Morning by morning, new mercies I see. All that I've needed Your hand has provided. Great is Thy Faithfulness, Lord unto me." Have a great day! EJ |
