Many years ago I was a very spiritual person, I attended church every Sunday and felt connected with my faith in every way. My last relationship was plagued with anti faith negativity from my ex partner and I was compelled to abandon my faith. I am trying to return to my faith and spiritual path but I am afraid to do so, yesterday I went to the local church and broke down into tears at the altar. Today I feel the need to attend church but something is stopping me from going, I have lost my children and I need desperately to turn to my faith to help me survive and to endure this heart crushing loneliness.

Please, if you can find it in your hearts, would you pray for me to find the courage and the strength to return to my faith.

I am praying for you CoffeeLove. Am sorry that you are going through this.

God is faithful and wants you to return to Him.
He will heal your broken heart and give you the courage you need.

Hold on to hope. You have taken a huge step in the right direction. Keep going and don't look back.

Coffee Love, of course i will pray for you. Think about it like this coffee: when you regain your closeness to the heavenly father, then you will be strengthen to help others who struggle with their faith. There are many things in this life that would rob us of our beliefs, and that is why it says forsake not the assembly of the bretheren. Yes, i know it too well. Blessings and remember this verse: "I will never leave you nor forsake you" ~ Yahshua

Thank you for your prayers Hope 51, that means a huge amount to me knowing that some one is praying for me.

I went to the village Church again this morning in the hopes of getting to feel more grounded there but there were some clerical staff there buzzing around and using a printer for something which damaged the sense of being in a Church and made it feel more like an office of some sort. That really didn't help at all, it took me a long time to build up the courage to go to the Church today only to have a very troubled experience there. I will of course try to build the courage to go there again tomorrow, I know that it is not essential to go to a building to feel a spiritual connection but I feel inside my soul that I need that physical connection so that I might find my path again if that makes any sense at all.

Find your grounding in God's word rather than in a building. He speaks to us through his word & is the best place to start....along with just talking to God through prayer. He promises to answer everything we ask according to his will & regaining faith is definitely in that category.

I can relate....8 years ago after leaving a bad marriage I was finally at a point where I was able to find real faith & relationship with God first time in my life. I had gone to Bible studies before that & they were just blah, blah, blah....
