Hello ruby01: I'm sorry you are feeling low. I see you posted this yesterday. Perhaps by now, you're feeling better. I hope so. I know what you mean. I'm afraid feeling low & unmotivated has pretty-much become normal operating procedure for me. Much of the time, what I really want to do is just go to bed. But I keep pushing myself because I'm afraid of where the bottom might be if I ever allowed myself to sink.

ruby01,
I think you may find something in the forums here. There are so many threads to sift through. I know how you feel. The question is Why? ![]() What led to this ruby01? what is causing this? If you can identify the cause(s) - Is it health? toxic people/place(s)? specific event or experience (s)? money? job/other loss? What led to this lack of motivation? That's your starting point - there may be the point from which to act or get advice. In the meantime, distract yourself a little bit everyday if possible. A walk (in a park if possible - nature is best, the botanical gardens?), a movie, read a graphic novel or comic book ( if you can't focus to read right now. the subjects are VERY (!) diverse today - some include psychology, domestic abuse, sexuality preferences, race related issues etc. - there is something of everyone!! ![]() ![]() Schedule 1 hour or 30 mins even, every day no matter how you feel. Try 15 mins if you can't manage 30, start small & work up. If you can manage this for nearly 2 months, you would be creating a HABIT that will help you toward getting past 'the funk,' before you go lower. By then you can think of next steps or ask for help. ![]() Stay in touch, let us know what works (whenever you're ready - as mind has its own ideas!), we could all do with help here! ![]()

i have found emotional and cognitive support, as well as healing, in the binaural beat sound tracks, and meditation. while i might not be accomplishing as much as i would like, i certainly do feel better, and better about myself. i also practiced changing my thinking, to affect my feeling. some people use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for that.
i hope you find something that works for you. if you want to listen to some of the binaural beats, be sure to use stereo earphones, ,here is a link: |

I often feel low and disconnected from my "spiritual" self. What I do is I take a nice long bath or shower and use nice scented lotions and shower gels to make myself feel better. I hope you come out of this rut soon and will soon start to feel better!
