Today I went to get my Tarot cards read for my birthday, and boy was it full of enlightenment and revelations. The reader and I could relate on so many levels. Anyways, she gave me comfort in knowing that my future seemed bright and full of love, and that someday, I'll be with the man I'm destined to be with. Not yet, though, because I'm not ready, she said.

Any of you ever had such a session?

Yes. I have had my tarot cards read, and I read the tarot myself for many, many years. I've always taken the tarot as a game...but there is 'something' to it beyond just a game...I'm not sure what; perhaps we tend to unconsciously connect to certain cards...or something like that.
Thanks for this!

Well, the woman who did my reading said I was a healer, and it reminded me of when I did Reiki healing before on myself without really knowing how or being taught. I saw it being done on TV, and thought "Hey, let's give it a try", so I stopped what I was doing, closed my eyes, and concentrated on my aura, which I could see in my mind's eye was glowing a vibrant pink, almost fuchsia, and then I focused further in on a spot in my arm where it ached terribly and the aura there was a dark color, almost like a black blemish. Hovering my hand a inch or two away, I began to "pull" wisps of the black negative energy away from my elbow until it cleared the black blemish on my aura and it returned to pink. It felt like I was unclogging my aura in that spot, and the pain was gone.

I tried to focus on my head, because that's where most of my negative energy lies, and I saw a lot of dark energy. I did the same thing before, hovering my hand an inch above the affected area and began to "pull" wisps of that dark negative energy out of my head. However, try as I might, the aura around my head stayed black. I guess I need to meditate and focus my inner eye on the spiritual energy around me to help unclog that area.

Healers run in the family, supposedly, because my mother is also a healer, and my grandmother (Mom's mother), despite being a devout Catholic and finding such practices sacrilege, became a Nurse and the calling was strong for her, and she was a very good nurse at that. I remember her bandaging a wound on my hand and she doctored it up quite well.

I was told by two people to meditate and that I should do so at sunset where I'm outside, facing the setting sun and absorbing it's fiery energy. I do love to bask in the sun, but because I'm as pale as a ghost, I burn, so sunset is a good time for me as the sun isn't as strong then. Besides, the fiery glow appeals to me and each sunset is breathtaking in their own right.

I am going to look up some books that I was recommended on Reiki healing. I have the vague inclination to set up a healing center where I can preform Reiki healings on people and their pets, so that I can help clear out blemishes in their auras. Something to think about I guess.

Edit: I can feel the heat radiating from my hands if I close my eyes and clear my mind of everything and then focus on running my hands an inch over my body. I actually feel really hot all over....I should probably turn on the ceiling fan so I can fall asleep.

i have long used the Tarot as a tool for insight and meditation. it does not reveal our fate, so much as it gives us the will to contemplate change, i think.

my favorite deck is the Osho Zen Tarot. it is very inspired in its art and descriptions. you can get one free reading a day online at this link address:

may you have Insight, and the causes of Insight ~!

I got my Tarot read!!!

(that is the card i drew just now)
Thanks for this!

I have a tarot deck and do readings for myself and my family sometimes. I find them enlightening and usually eerily accurate to whatever I'm going through at the time. They help me look at things from other perspectives than my own and sometimes give me hints at areas I need to work on. They are fun and learning about Tarot is interesting.

I'm glad you had a good experience.

I have a Tarot deck too, and am working on how to use it. It came in a set with a book that describes each card, the meanings behind them, and ways to lay out the cards. They are beautiful cards and I enjoy looking at them. The deck is called Druid Craft Tarot.

Never went for a Tarot read. Thinking about a psychic reading. Not sure who is real and who is a fake.
