I wanted to post what I presume is perhaps a remembrance of PC member: Ciderguy. In his last post, dated: 7/26/16 he wrote of having colon cancer & expecting that he would soon be gone. Here is a link to that final post should anyone wish to read it:

http://forums.psychcentral.com/other...y-prayers.html

I was not close to Ciderguy. (Perhaps someone else here on PC has been in touch with him?) I would reply to his posts whenever I felt I had something useful to contribute. But that was about it. Yet I still remember him. Perhaps he's still with us & we here on PC may yet hear from him once again. Perhaps not. But I simply wanted to mention... Ciderguy... My thoughts were with you today...

I remember him too. He got mad at me because he gave me advice that wasn't comprehensible to my level of understanding. I do wish him well though.

I've been in touch with him since his last post, but he didn't reply to my last email. I have a sad feeling that he is no longer with us. I know he will be at peace and not in pain, or sad. He was able to do most of the things he wanted to before he went into hospital, and was reconciling with the church and others close to him. Perhaps he may still be here and too ill to reply, but somehow, I feel not. Ciderguy, you were a good friend and I wish you joy wherever you are.
Thanks for this!

That doesn't surprise me, but it's big of you to still wish him well despite crossing you.

I think that he was just frustrated at the fact that his well meaning advice didn't get through to me in the format he presented it, and couldn't comprehend why it wasn't received well, or at all. Because of that, he expressed said frustration towards me by being angry. I, in turn, was angry in defense of myself, as I tend to be, and we both wound up going downward into an aggression based argument.

I regret not being kinder toward him, but alas, we can't undo Yesterday. The only thing we can do is try and learn from our pasts and use the knowledge we've gained from that to forge a better Tomorrow.

It's also a reminder that people and things do end, they don't always end well, and life is fleeting and fragile.
