I find that the best way to grow spiritually is to ask questions, seek knowledge and learn as much as we can about spiritualism and our own world. That is how we truly grow stronger spiritually.

What do you think?

i think learning to be calm in all situations and states of being, and to be insightful, to contemplate a perception before making a determination or conclusion, both lead to compassion and wisdom; which are my definitions of Spirituality.

How to grow spiritually.

That's some pretty insightful thinking. I also think that respecting your fellow spirituality seekers as equals and not condemning anyone for believing in what they feel is right are good practices that help us grow spiritually. We are all in this together.

Also, nice picture of the Mother Goddess you posted there.

Great list, another important one is to learn to put the spirit above the flesh, and not wavering under pressure or pain since it is only the body experiencing the physical whereas the spirit is untouchable by the physical.

How to grow spiritually. Don't take it for granted. when you do a Tarot reading, be thorough and serious. Dreaming, Praying, meditating: don't think "oh, is that all there is to it". Instead, learn, strain and master it, even with Zen, do " no effort:" fully, without half-heartedness.

I have other things that help.
but I will save those for others and other visits.
Blessinngs all,
Go take a long walk off an assumption into the deep of blue reality.

Enjoy a piece of peace or a vast of Nature.

Total surrender is what has made the difference for me. I try to give everything to the care of a higher power

While learning has its place (learning life lessons, for instance), I, on the other hand, am now of the opinion that, our mind is often our worst enemy.

I've come to redefine "intelligence". Traditionally, we think of intelligence as the ability to use the mind to solve problems. I now define intelligence as knowing when to shut the mind off so fewer problems are created.

To me, it's not about learning, it's about being present. It's not about the things of the universe, it's about the space between them.

I think wisdom would have been a better choice of word. The best knowledge a person can have is that they will never know everything and maybe never know everything about anything, because we are still learning about things such as quantum physics and it is still just theories or even the fact that we don't know much about the interaction between our own mind and brain, and also we can not know empirically about spiritual matters. Then there is the problem that all knowledge is worldly and everyday our knowledge of the world changes, what we thought we had knowledge of was wrong even the things we once held as common knowledge can be wrong. The problem is you can't gain wisdom from books, lectures, it can not be imparted on you from another, it takes a lot more work and awareness to be wise than to be knowledgeable. The Tao says a lot about wisdom, King Solomon is said to have been wise, almost every sage was more wise than knowledgeable. Having knowledge means that you know facts, wisdom is more about how you apply your knowledge. A poor man with no education can have more wisdom than the doctor with 10 plus years of secondary school. This is just my opinion that since the spirit is not of this world, you will not become more spiritual by gaining fact of this world.

I think being spiritual is a enlightening experience. When you surrender yourself to whatever you believe in you can actually FEEL your soul. I think connecting with your soul is key in finding your spirituality, and being open to many different possibilities.

How to grow spiritually.

I often wondered what that means to FEEL the soul, because isn't all feeling bodily, just the firing of neurons? I am not saying its not real or true, because I don't know and I have had some very spiritual feelings, but I was also at a very high point, ecstatic and probably manic. Also, if you are a soul, like a ghost in the machine, then how do you feel the soul when you are the soul? I am greatly curious, because I seem to be teetering on both sides of soul and no soul. I have come to the conclusion that should not worry about something which I have no control, my belief can't alter truth and I will never know beyond some feeling, but I will love my life and live it morally and ethically for their own sake and appreciate that I am even living rather than concern myself with what comes next.

It's an incredibly personal thing you know, the soul. For me I feel it, because it is in me and a part of me. But that is just ME. You may have a different feeling or opinion about it and that's okay too.

When it comes to spirituality, its all about the individual and what they feel in their heart and perhaps soul to. Maybe I worded my post wrong because I feel so strongly about it.

I am glad you choose to live your life that way, that is totally your choice. As long as you are happy and content that's all that matters.

To me it's about connecting to earth energies, listening to my body and through that connecting with and developing my intuition. But that process can take numerous forms..depending on the moment..
