These are the questions we need to be asking ourselves as christians and spiritual leaders:
1. Am I a good christian? 2. Am I strong in my faith? 3. Is being a christian more than going to Sunday service to me? 4. Am i doing GOD'S work? 5. Am I witnessing to others of His promise? 6. Am I reaching out to those in need? 7. Am i being obedient (praying/reading scripture daily)? 8. Am I being a good christian example and spiritually leading my family in God's way? 9. Am I loving, kind and compassionate as God would have me be? And finally, and most importantly.... 10. Is there room for me to improve as a christian on any of the above? I am not judging anyone. I am not accusing. I am simply asking, are we doing as much as we can as christians in this world? I think if we look at this world we are living in, and look deeply at ourselves we would have to say no. We need God in our lives and God needs us to spread His word. That is a responsibility that is put on every christians shoulders. Just think about it for a while. Have i missed opportunities to witness. Have I missed opportunity to give testimony? Have i failed to reach out at anytime when I saw a need? Have I done for God in any measure what He has done for me? We would all have to say at sometime we have failed at these things. It is time for us to stand up and lift our voices for the Lord. Even in this world where so many don't want to hear it. We give that message anyway. And we do it with love, compassion, and a kind heart. We embrace and lift up our brothers and sisters. We reach out to those in our community and our lives. We pray for this world that is at war. We pray for those soldiers and their families. We pray for the lost. We study His word and come closer to Him thru that truth. I could go on and on, but, I won't. I love my Lord and Savior. And I love my christian family. And I think we all have room to improve as children of God. God bless you all. recluse1 |

Recluse,
I agree we need to stand up and quit being skiddish about our ministries and God's word. Many of times I have failed not to spread the word because it wasnt the right time... Then I asked why wasnt that the correct timing. I look at things in a different light these days .... I will honestly admit i'm afraid the lack of maoral values we have ... WE ARE IN THE END DAYS LIKE SADOM AND GAMORA. We are allowing open gay relationships in our militaries ... were pleasures of the flesh are over running pleasures of the souls... We live in times were a husband can leave the wife because he is tired of the situation causing a broken home and families. We are living in times were the most trusted people ( Ministers/ Teachers/Police Officers ) are committing sexual crimes against our youths What are we too do stand by and allow our society crumble because we do not want to be inconvience ... To answer your question my sister ..... Not only as Christians but as a society we have a large room for improvement,,,,, Put religion back into the schools and govenrment as our forerfathers wanted it to be on top of our minds and hearts. This post really hit home with me. It makes me realize how much I'm not doing for God that I should be. Definitely something to take to heart. Thanks for posting this.

What is most difficult for me is knowing so many things that can be done, improved, but because of my disability, I am really doing the best I can, doing all I can do. If anything, it makes me think I'm of no use here and should just go on home with the Lord.

No, no no you didn't. It's been an issue of mine for 20 years now, since my injury. I can't do anything compared to what I used to, but it doesn't stop my want to.

sky our disabilities should not interfere too much. there are many things we can do that do not require alot of physical stuff. just witnessing to others is a work for God. sharing our love and His love and His story to others. we are all here for a reason!

There is, and always will be, room for improvement in all aspect of our lives.... And that's okay
I think the strongest witnessing a Christian can do is by example. Show people love and understanding and the subject of how God works in your life will come up naturally. I think that type of witnessing is the kind that gets people talking and helps bring God into their lives too. |
