I'm camping Central Vancouver Island and am right this moment in the heart of old growth rain forest with a bald eagle over head. My Creator lives here. Sigh. I had to share.

That sounds wonderful. I also feel so connected while in nature. Vancouver Island is beautiful.

So once again I ditched the civilized world for a dash to the outdoors. I have come back clinging to that strong sense of attachment. I am thinking and feeling more clearly as well as spiritually and emotionally refreshed.

Thanks all. It is a good feeling. I've had a few blips but this positive bent on things has won out.

It's wonderful that you've discovered this deep sense of connection with nature, WishfulThinker. Now that you have, it opens up so many possibilities of exploration for the future. Something powerful to counter the stresses of civilization, as it seems we're always in the business of doing; finding that balance of positive and negative.

Now is a great time to contribute to the maintenance of our wild places too, as we're seeing every day on the Net.

My best wishes to you!
Thanks for this!

I got up super-early this morning and rode clear across town and attempted to climb the steepest, toughest hill in town (my city has a bunch of little volcanoes in it). As I made my way up, I soon could not believe how steep and long it was. No wonder I was the only one not in a car!! Anyhoo, I kept asking for His help, and asking for His help, and asking for His help. I knew I couldn't do it by myself. Eventually, I made it it to the top. There was a lot of fog over the city but I was above it. All the stars were out and the view was stunning. My horrible fear of heights didn't even kick in, despite how steep and scary it was with all these huge dropoffs. I did it. We did it.
