Happy Tuesday, all!

I was wondering about scheduling a Reconciliation with one of my Episcopal priests-the woman is familiar with OCD & scrupulosity. I've met with her and the Rector serveral times and they've both been helpful, understanding and good listeners.

I'm wondering if my self-centeredness is an obsession/sin or am I just being overly scrupulous? Fr. Paul (Rector) said not to confuse the OCD with sin.

thanks for answers! Do I need to schedule a confession or are these just scruples?

I wholeheartedly agree with your Rector. I think if you can, you should evaluate your heart and motives behind what you think and do, and if you find yourself lacking, then work on that. However, if you find that your motivation is the ocd, surely speak to God about it, ask for His help and rely upon Him, but don't count it like a "sin" that you can automatically adjust through confession.

Do I need to schedule a confession or are these just scruples?
