Happy Monday all from a very rainy area! The sun's out now but BOY, did it rain and blow early this AM!
Anyhow, it's Lent and I'm debating whether I need to see one of my (Episcopalian) priests for a confession-does it mean I love the world too much if I obsess on things I want/need-i.e. sports bras, stuff to keep my place organized...... ocd chick |

I don't think it means you love the world too much if you are thinking about your needs and desires. I think if you were to actually act on those obsessions, then it would be a problem. But a lot of what and how we think is "natural" and not immediately under our control. I don't know what the next thing is I'll think and can't "do" anything about it until I think it. So, thoughts are rarely a sin unless they are deliberately sought for their pleasurable sensations when it would be more helpful to us and others if we focused them elsewhere. If you are practicing good self-care and not "just" sitting around thinking about what you want but are doing tasks that need doing, I don't think you are being sinful.
