My Amelia died today (6 Apr) at 10:45 a.m. central. She will be missed and never forgotten.

I am so very sorry tat2doc....she was a great friend and soul. We learn compassion from bearing loss and it is because I too have lost such love that I can empathize with you...
Plant a tree in her honor and watch it grow...it will make her smile as only Dogs can do... Love, Lenny

OOOOHHHHH
This is such deep grief isn't it? I'm so sorry to hear this. Even though we know they must go eventually.....we just don't ever want it to happen. I know our animals are in His care, and will rejoin us later. God made animals for us to enjoy, and even had Adam name them, they were so special! (I believe this.) I lost my "JHL Figaro" January 2007 and even now I get sobbing fits of grief over my loss. Caleb is wonderful, but he isn't my Figaro.

so sorry to hear that...no words of mine can be much comfort to you at this time... I can only say it was a life well lived,who loved much,and was loved...thats something worthy of our real purpouse in being here I think. God Bless

Thank you all for your kind words during this time but know that Amelia is in a better place, waiting for me.
For those that don't know, she will remain forever at my side...literally! Papers have already been signed for her private cremation and the ashes will be returned to me. From there, as time permits, we will travel to N. Carolina to a tattoo artist that I taught a while back. Her ashes will be used to tattoo her portrait on my left thigh. The rest will take their place of honor wherever I happen to be. Gone but not forgotten, Loved more than life itself, I would be lying if I said that it wasn't my pleasure to be her servant for the short time she owned me! Love always Amelia see you soon baby!

I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved Amelia. I think your plans to keep her with you always, while quite unique, is wonderful. I'm sure you have the most wonderful memories of the four legged soul who owned you.....and she still does  sabby |
