Tonight was the night I went to the bowling alley with my dad and went shopping. Since I am plagued by the fears of agoraphobia, it is very hard for me to do this...the whole night I was just terrified.

In my efforts to distract myself...I thought of you guys. I thought of those who frequent the Sanctuary...and I thinking of you made me feel some sense of sanity. It's funny...but from all the posts about this forum brought me a lot of grief and heartache (I tend to take things too personally)...and yet you are the ones I thought of who brought me some kind of sanity tonight!

So I wrote this little poem while thinking of you guys:

Among the differences
There is a spark
In the silence
In the dark

Erase the judgments
Disspell strong held beliefs
Inside the heart of many
Behind the despair

Love, compassion, and understanding
Love for each other
Compassion for the hurt
Understanding that we all feel pain

There is something out there
Male, female, unknown
Protecting us in the darkness
Bringing us together in the light

My wish for us all
Forget our differences
Remember our similarities
Love each other equally.

I think writing this was the only thing that saved me tonight...and I just wanted to share it with you.
