 I don't see an easy solution to your situation.  You're right, the small amount anyone could get here isn't going to help you really. Not worth worrying about. If you sign a power of attorney, they have complete control just as if it were you. Is your money direct deposited, then take your check book with you and forward your mail to the facility? Hopefully, the worst is over.
