That's how we sing it here in Puerto Rico! ![]() |

That's a pretty nice birthday song! Very religious too, which is good, in my opinion! Pretty long, though, so the little kids here would probably get impatient for not getting their cake yet, heh.

Yeah, it's pretty long, but we usually sang it in Sunday School. No cake there. LOL
I thought it would be appropriate here as it's the Spirituality Forum... not that Doc John will understand what it says. LOL Kewl finding someone else that knows Spanish! ![]()

Spanish is my native tongue! I'm lucky enough to speak and write english fluently, as some puertorricans can only say "Hello" or "You speak in english? (which they spell out as 'Yu spikin inglich?')". And I'm aiming for also learning german, french, and japanese, since they're the tongues of science (or so people keep telling me)!

Spanish is my first language, too, but I've been in the States since I was 18 mos. old so I've even lost my accent. Sadly, I've forgotten most of my Spanish although I can still understand it.
I've got cousins that have been here most of their life, too, but they all still have their accents. One of them was even the CEO for the Hispanic Agency on Aging! ![]()
