"A happy birhday to you, A happy birthday to you, Everyday of the year, May you find God near, A happy birthday to you, A happy birthday to you, And the best one you've ever had"

Cumpleaños feliz!
Cumpleaños feliz!
Cumpleaños, Doc John!
Cumpleaños feliz!

Feliz, feliz en tu dia!
Amiguito que Dios te bendiga!
Que reine la paz en tu vida...
Y que cumplas muchos mas!

Te estas poniendo viejo!
Con cara de conejo,
con patas de cangrejo,
y cuello de avestruz!

That's how we sing it here in Puerto Rico!

I love it, Kewwky!

Here's how we sang in it Texas. LOL

Feliz, Feliz cumpleaños
deseamos para ti
Que el Dios omnipotente
te quiera bendecir.

¡Feliz, feliz cumpleaños!
De Dios felicidad,
Que tengas en la vida
Y por la eternidad.

A Dios rendimos gracias
Que con sin par bondad,
Al fin de este año hermoso
Te permitió llegar.

Oremos pues unidos,
Que te bendiga aún más
Te colme en lo futuro
De bien, prosperidad.

That's a pretty nice birthday song! Very religious too, which is good, in my opinion! Pretty long, though, so the little kids here would probably get impatient for not getting their cake yet, heh.

Yeah, it's pretty long, but we usually sang it in Sunday School. No cake there. LOL

I thought it would be appropriate here as it's the Spirituality Forum... not that Doc John will understand what it says. LOL

Kewl finding someone else that knows Spanish!

Spanish is my native tongue! I'm lucky enough to speak and write english fluently, as some puertorricans can only say "Hello" or "You speak in english? (which they spell out as 'Yu spikin inglich?')". And I'm aiming for also learning german, french, and japanese, since they're the tongues of science (or so people keep telling me)!

Spanish is my first language, too, but I've been in the States since I was 18 mos. old so I've even lost my accent. Sadly, I've forgotten most of my Spanish although I can still understand it.

I've got cousins that have been here most of their life, too, but they all still have their accents. One of them was even the CEO for the Hispanic Agency on Aging! I don't know how she managed to hang on to her accent. LOL
