(I know I'm a few days early, but I'm away at a retreat this weekend).

Information on the International Day of Peace:
http://www.worldpeace.org/peaceday.html
http://www.un.org/events/peaceday/2007/index.shtml

Prayer for Peace:
http://peaceprayer.gn.apc.org/

I find it hopeful that many realize that peace is important to the world around us to establish good relationships with others - regardless of another persons differences.

But at the same time, I still find it sad that it's localized to only one specific day. But it's a start!

How are you planning on participating? Is this the first time you've heard of this event/day?

Myself, I'm at a spiritual and social justice retreat this weekend, so I'd assume that they realize that Sunday is a very important day this weekend!

Peace, prayers & blessings for everyone.

As it turns out, not ONE single person at my retreat understood the importance of this past Sunday, which is pretty sad. But I'm glad I was able to "help" NWTR

I'll admit, I didn't get to do as much as I would have liked to mark such a special day.
