My grandmother has been diagnosed with breast cancer. They removed the mass from her breast and found that it has spread to her lymph glands. So, they removed some of them, too. She goes to start chemo Tuesday. I'm asking anyone who will to please pray for her. I don't want to lose her. She means so much to me. Thank you for reading this.

Thank you so very much, Beth. I lived with my grandmother for a good portion of my teenage years, so we are very close.

oh I know that connection so well, MP.

You have my positive thoughts that your Grandmother has a good response to her chemo, and that this kicks cancers butt!

Peace and Love!
night

((((( Everyone ))))) Thank you so much for your prayers, understanding, and support. Looks like this is going to be a hard journey for me since I'm dealing with cancer myself, then having to deal with her having cancer, too, on top of that. It just doesn't seem fair sometimes. That's just the feeling I get from it right now... that it isn't fair. I'm trying my best not to think irrationally, though. I know things in life happen this way sometimes. I just hate it so bad. Anyway, thank you all again. I really appreciate all of you.

hi MP, i read above where you were looking for insight about the meaning of this experience.. i'm not sure i can answer any questions for you but i will lay something out there thats been going thru my own mind some and see if it fits you in any way, ok? if not, please dont let it mess you up in any way..

these tragedies happen to us or others and as you stated, it doesnt seem fair...

what do we get for all this suffering? its hard work and we have to look within and we need to pool our resources and lean on others and stress ourselves to the max and then we are dropping exhausted and forlorn here at Gods' doorway... why would a loving God ask us to withstand these things? where is the Love we may ask?

ive been studying this paradox for years.. here's what i'm thinking right now...

this suffering, terrible as it is, and including all forms of suffering known, does a thing to us humans... we hurt together and that actually brings us closer together with a common goal of healing.. could that be what God is wanting?

God creates only beauty and i think it is us humans who confuse the picture...

God tells us that the spirit is inalienable, but the body we know, will pass..

is God trying to say we should vest more in the spirit and diminish our attachment from the physical to some degree?

i am wondering if God is telling me that what is physical is temporary and what is essential is spirit...

if this be true, then what spirit is best for me? what spirit does God want me to possess?

i come round in this inner dialect to find the solution that settles the question for me right now..

pain happens, love heals it... the body will pass, and with it, the physical pain.... the spirit remains...

sending healing wishes to all..

((( nwtr ))) Thank you for this. I knew God had a hand in it somewhere, somehow. But, I couldn't quite put my finger on the reasoning. You really gave me something to think about. I haven't thought about it in that light before. Thank you, again.

Hugs, Jenn

Good news about my grandmother!! The doctor called and said that they had to take out 30 something glands, but only ONE had cancer!!!! Yippeee!! She has to have 8 weeks of radiation treatment, and they think she will be fine after that!! Thank God! I feel SO relieved. Now, just getting myself better. I can focus on that completely now. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and well wishes. I feel so much better.
