Hey guys mgran and I are looking to sort of put a specific support and info thing together on this site and were wondering exactly how to go about it. We are definately open to suggestions. I know i am terribly confused about the ins and outs of my illness where to find additional support, besides just the general mental health support. We cant really find too much on schizoaffective out there besides a general explaination that it is a disorder that includes psychosis and symtoms of a mood disorder (MDD or Manic Depressive). So any help would be greatly appreciated. luv yall.

I'm not entirely sure but there should be a support for schizoaffective people, it's a very troubling disorder that has completely thrown me off course for life.

I'm not sure there's such a thing as a complete definition... We could share our own experiences though, which should help.

Shall we start a separate thread where we can share our stories?

Just to let you know, Buddha has a group on facebook that offers support to people on the schizophrenic spectrum.

I am new here. I think the suggestion from mgran of sharing your own experience is a good one. I have tried to research myself but when it comes from someone who has actually experienced it I feel I can relate. It helps me understand more then what is just written as a description of this illness.

Hey Mokie, I had an idea after reading your post... I think we should have a thread in which each of us describes our journeys, and how we have been affected by, and have come to terms with our diagnoses.

So... here's the thread. Feel free to share your experiences, if you want to.

mgran, I love this idea too. I will be trying to share my journey but since I am still in the stage of trying to accept and understand that what I have been through really is this illness it is hard. I know it would be benefical to me though to do this so I will give it my all.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
