Hi Chiggins, I know what you mean about over sharing. Sometimes I can't stop myself from talking to people. There's a little bit of me standing aside watching me rabbit on, and it's just appalled. No matter how loud it yells at me to shut up, it doesn't quite work. When I get like that I'm frightened to talk to anyone, so I don't leave the house.

Things which have helped me in the last couple of years have been joining a non judgemental church, taking up music lessons (I get on very well with my instructor, and we talk about all sorts without it seeming like too much information, the structure of the lessons helps, and we now meet up for tea or coffee sometimes.) I got a lot of help through social services and the NHS, and now I do voluntary work twice or thrice a week.

If you live in the UK there are groups I could point you towards that help people develop friendships and networks. I'm sure other members here have information for other countries.
