hi,
i wanna know if i have schizophrenia or schizo affective disorder? how can i find that out? i have both symptoms of schizophrenia and specially mania but mostly no depression. and if i have schizo affective, would it be less sever and more easily treatable?
i hate the damn meds because of the tremor they cause which i cant stand!

Well, both of those things are diagnostic labels applied by doctors. To find out which you have, you'd have to go see a doctor - likely a psychiatrist.
You could also decide for yourself, if that helps you (and it seems like you are doing so) - you can read the diagnostic criteria and decide what you want to be.

Severity isn't determined merely by diagnosis, either. The diagnostic label applied to you describes the type of symptoms, not necessarily their severity.

And how these things are treated is determined by many factors - individual doctors, the atmosphere and medical culture within which they work, financial considerations, your personal preferences and attitudes, etc. It's not a question anybody can answer for you.
