I've been through episodes of mania and depression for years. Recently, I think I've begun hearing voices. It's nothing incredibly obvious, just little whispers, or very quiet thoughts. I'm finding it hard to distinguish if it's just my own thoughts or if I'm hallucinating because it's so subtle. I am a little frightened, that things will get worse... I suppose I should just keep an eye on it for now... just wanted to get this out so I could talk to someone about it

hey perplexingly, ummm.. i have the same sort of issues with voices. sometimes i'm confused if they're voices too... for me it's a sign that i'm getting really stressed, and they sort of come on then. have you been stressed lately? i wouldn't worry too much about it getting worse just take care of yourself in the meantime. if it's a new symptom (the voices) make sure you let your treatment team know and you can deal with it in the most effective manner possibly.

it's like this: life goes on, even as you hear the voices you must move forward. nothing will change that.

Please help by offering suggestions for what you'd like to hear about mental-health wise. I'm nervous about it, but I started a Youtube Channel. PM me!

I agree, the voices usually start because of stress. Or for me a bad anxiety attack can trigger them. No sense in worrying to much. Just let therapist an dpdoc know what is going on.
