My dr said I don't have schizoeffective, but a milder form of it, does anyone know what that might be called?

i dont know anything more "mild" than that on the spectrum. maybe bipolar or depression with psychosis. but schizoaffective dx doesnt mean its mild. its not mild it just has a lot of mood to it. and schizophrenia has more thought disorganization to it.

Oh that is confusing. They said they are going to look for a new diagnosis for me but it will be along those lines.......

I'm also struggling with a diagnosis. I don't know what it would be.
I have MDD (major depressive disorder) but I also hear voices that tell me to kill myself. and hurt others. I get angry easily now, I have short temper, but only because I think the person is out to get me. I feel utterly crazy.

Perhaps they mean Schizoid Personality Disorder or Schizotypal Personality Disorder?
