quick overview... I'm 32, mother of 2, ages 11 and 12, boy and girl. both from first marriage. was diagnosed during severe family crisis involving my ex BF of 7 yrs (after divorce) with PTSD, panic disorder with agoraphobic tenancies, and schizoaffective disorder, bipolar type. been in psych ward 4 times, before making changes. currently married to my life-long best friend, he is wonderful, and I've started to try to put my life and self back together. I'm in my 2nd yr of college, with a 3.75 GPA, and been trying to get into the ticket to work program with the goal of getting off disability. eventually.
however, i just got a continuing review, and I'm terrified that i'll lose my SSDI. if that happens, I'll have no choice but to quit school and try to find work... i haven't worked successfully in 3 years....3 attempts never lasted longer than a few weeks.
without a good $10.00 an hour job full time, the loss of income may very well cause us to lose our house. and with it, all my dreams....
I filled out the forms and sent them in today... i figure if I lose it, my last check will me in march. should I quit school now (i'm already enrolled for next semester) and look for work ( which is hard to come by here) or wait til i know?
